Mr.Ibuka who founded Sony said “I want to create an environment in which children can become familiar with manufacturing and I want them to lead the country with science.”
Many people agreed with his thought and many clubs have been built in Japan since 1974.
There are currently approximately 9,000 children in 214 locations in 47 prefectures.
A few days ago there was an entry ceremony for the 37th students of this club in Kanazawa, and I sent my congratulations for them.
At the ceremony they looked calm but once the class started, they seemed alive and fun so I felt relief.
